You just shouldn’t make the mistake of putting into the child’s mind the image of a formidable God who seeks to punish for the slightest offense. This will not cause love, but rather disappointment and longing for the Creator, Who loves and forgives.

Children of primary school age are able to perceive the Gospel texts naturally. They are surprised not so much by miracles as by the behavior of Christ, His love and self-sacrifice.

You should not force small children to cram prayers. It is better to explain that God hears everything, and in the morning you need to say hello to Him, in the evening you need to say goodbye. Let the child turn to Jesus in his own words, over time he will learn church texts. The main thing here is not to discourage the desire to understand this issue.
