Our holy blessed mother, matron. Matrona of Moscow: what she helps with and how to ask for help. Miracles associated with the icon of the Matrona of Moscow

Today we can contemplate a special beauty - the beauty of virtue. This is real true beauty: beauty that is timeless, eternal. It is given by God. It elevates one above sin and disgrace, makes a person a true personality, and brings him closer to the Creator. Glorifying our holy relatives, who sincerely, sincerely tried to imitate Christ, to follow Him, and most of all in their lives valued Divine grace in its diverse beauty, let us also try to strive for this with a pure heart, without guile and hypocrisy, without malice and pride, without envy and condemnation, trying to throw all this away, because sin prevents us from going to God, does not decorate us, but disgraces us. We are so accustomed to this that sometimes we do not know or understand what virtue is, we do not see it embodied in our life or the life of another person. But we have examples of many thousands, millions of Russian saints who followed Christ, adorned themselves and our land with Heavenly beauty, left it behind in temple buildings, icons, and other spiritual creativity, which cannot be repeated and created without virtues, without Divine grace. Evil and the devil have always sought to break this connection, destroy Divine beauty, and present their ugliness as “beauty.” But this can never happen. The memory of the holy, righteous, blessed Matrona forces every person who is thoughtful about their faith to ask themselves a lot of questions. The example of the holy righteous blessed Matrona shows us an understanding of why and how the power of God appears in human weakness. Saint Matrona seemed to be the personification of this weakness: she was seriously ill, she did not see the light of God, she was a financially poor person - she did not have a good home, she did not have a family, she did not have prosperity, she did not have any opportunities to influence the world around her. She could only be an object of mercy and condescension on the part of other people, because in such circumstances it is even impossible to think about anything else. But the holy, righteous, blessed Matrona was not an object of human condescension, but was a force that helped people much more prosperous and stronger than her in their lives. How can we understand the words of the Lord? My strength is made perfect in weakness? The example of the holy righteous blessed Matrona helps us answer this important question for the cause of our salvation. The power of God is stronger than any human power. And when a person is weak, when he is sick, when he is poor, when he is deprived of power, then he does not have that human strength, relying on which he could pave his way in life, ascend from strength to strength, gain more material wealth and more power - he is deprived of such an opportunity. And such a person faces a dilemma - either he, left alone with his weakness, closes his heart before God, becomes embittered, grumbles at God, gets angry with people, hates the world, as if enjoying this weakness of his to spite others, shocking them with his behavior, becoming an asocial person, dangerous and harmful to others, or realizing that he does not have the strength to rise up, to have what he would like to have, humbly accepts this position and opens himself completely to God, as if saying: “Lord, I have no strength, I can’t do anything, but I believe in You, I love You, help me!” Blessed Elder Matrona, often called Mother Matrona, Matronushka is a saint of the Russian Orthodox Church. During her lifetime she was revered as a soothsayer and wonderworker. An endless stream of people come to her, thirsting for spiritual healing, guidance and prayerful help. Through her prayers, the weak, the paralyzed, and those suffering from mental and physical illnesses were healed. Her prophecies and predictions helped many people avoid danger and death, and find the right path in difficult circumstances. Blessed Matrona was an Orthodox person in the deep, traditional meaning of the word. Compassion for people, coming from the fullness of a loving heart, prayer, the sign of the cross, fidelity to the holy statutes of the Orthodox Church - this was the focus of her intense spiritual life. Matrona is known to tens of thousands of Orthodox people. Matronushka - this is how many affectionately call her. She, just like during her earthly life, helps people. This is felt by all those who with faith and love ask her for intercession and intercession before the Lord, towards whom the blessed old woman has great boldness.
Even before her death, she said: “Everyone, everyone, come to me and tell me, as if alive, about your sorrows, I will see you, and hear you, and help you.” And mother also said that everyone who entrusts themselves and their lives to her intercession with the Lord will be saved.

“I will meet everyone who turns to me for help at their death, everyone.” Contact Saint Matronushka with prayer at any time of the day or night. Not only when you stand in front of her wonderful image in the temple, but also when you hold her icon or image in front of you - their holiness does not depend on size.

And in the middle of the day, in any difficult situation, call on your mother for help - close your eyes for a moment, remember her holy face, feel the love and warmth that comes from it, and read the words of the prayer. Instantly everything will change - you will feel a surge of strength, pain or fear will leave you, a difficult choice will be easy for you, you will avert danger from yourself and your loved ones. Always remember her heavenly intercession and call on her for help - and you will never be left without support and consolation.

Prayer to Matrona of Moscow - what is it about? What do Orthodox Christians ask when they turn to the saint? We will answer these questions in this article!

What do they pray to Saint Matrona of Moscow?

Saint Matrona of Moscow is a Russian saint of the 20th century. Born blind and crippled, from childhood she spent a lot of time in prayer to God and the Lord gave her mercy - to console people and help people.

Matrona of Moscow is glorified as a saint and she is asked to beg God to grant us help in our problems, troubles and sorrows.

N. Sukhinina writes: “Recently I allowed myself a little experiment. I called several Muscovite acquaintances to choose from - have you received help from Blessed Matronushka? Here are the answers.

“She got me a job, I was knocking doorsteps for six months, and I came to her and asked...

– My husband was threatened with surgery, I went to Matronushka, I have never cried so much, the doctors to this day cannot understand anything.

“My son fought in Chechnya, so I went to the Intercession Monastery like going to work and asked for her prayers. Returned...

“My daughter took the prodigal path, so every day I read an akathist to Blessed Matronushka and begged her.

– I changed my apartment only thanks to Matronushka.

Helps everyone. Russian, she feels sorry for everyone. I saw in line to the relics a large, purple black man with a bouquet of flowers. Wind, wet snow, and he stands and smiles. Of course, they tried to “split” him. And he repeats one thing:

We all need it. So we come here, to the Intercession Monastery, not always with flowers, but always with sins and requests: deliver, help, suggest, put in a word.”

Preacher of the holiness and righteousness of your life, blessed one, Holy Father John of Kronstadt appeared, commanding the believers in the temple to part and let the young girl Matrona pass to him, calling her his successor and the eighth pillar of Russia. And those who heard about this glorified the Lord, shouting to Him the heavenly song: Alleluia.

Ikos 6

In the hearts of those who do not know God and the many sins of those who anger Him, the light of God’s grace shines through your prayers, and, seeing the miracles you perform, I turn to the Lord, pleasing the blessed old woman with these praises: Rejoice, glorifying God with your miracles; Rejoice, thou who revealest to us the greatness of God and His glory in them. Although the merciful Lord sends His saints into the sinful world to save His creation in these last times, when all the power of the enemy, for departing from God and unrepentance for numerous sins, rises up against God’s creation, such an ascetic and prayer book appeared to the blessed Elder Matrona. Let us glorify God’s mercy towards us sinners, singing to Him with gratitude: Alleluia.

Ikos 7

The Lord has given the Russian people a new and wondrous intercessor, a prayer book, a healer and an intercessor for them to God for those who have departed from this world, the elders of Optina Hermitage, Saints Leo, Macarius and Ambrose, and the holy righteous John of Kronstadt, urging everyone to sing to His saint, the blessed Elder Matrona. sice: Rejoice, intercessor of our salvation to God; Rejoice, for the forgiveness of our sins by the Righteous Judge, propitiator. It is a strange miracle for the unbeliever and the unreasonable, how a blind woman can see and know not exactly the present, but also the future, not knowing the power of God, which is accomplished in the weakness of mankind, nor singing to God: Alleluia.

Ikos 8

All the saints who were in God, even if they were in body and in this sinful world, were always surrounded by many faithful and unfaithful, pious and wicked, I would reject anyone from myself without participation and consolation, suffering from many annoyances and insults, persecution, sorrow and reproaches, not lamenting about this, but thanking God for everything, forcing us to patiently bear our cross. We offer her the following praise: Rejoice, you who endured many sorrows and illnesses for the healing of the sick; Rejoice, you who spent your entire life fighting against unclean spirits. Rejoice, you who lost your walk from evil people for this walk; Rejoice, you who constantly remained in fervent prayer. Rejoice, bowed on your fist, and thus resting your gray hairs; Rejoice, vigilant in spirit, who spent all the night in prayer. Rejoice, blessed Elder Matrono, wonderful wonderworker.

Kontakion 9

You have endured all sorts of sorrows and illnesses, Mother Matrono, constantly fighting the forces of darkness, driving them out from those possessed by unclean spirits, exposing their intrigues and deceits, and you have never grumbled, until your death you help the suffering, the sick and the grieving, singing to the Lord God, who strengthens you by His power: Alleluia.

Ikos 9

The branches of multi-proclamation will not be able to adequately comprehend the gifts of grace of the Holy Spirit given to you by God from above and describe and glorify all the holiness of your life and the miracles performed by you by the power of God. Moreover, how can we, blind with spiritual eyes, comprehend the fate of God that is being committed on you, and with our sinful lips sing and glorify you, blessed mother? But wanting, according to the word of the psalmist, to praise God in His saints, driven by heartfelt love for you, we dare to this praise and call you: Rejoice, poor in spirit, for such is the Kingdom of Heaven; Rejoice, thou who walked the narrow and thorny path. Rejoice, like a bird of heaven, flying from place to place; Rejoice, even if the birds of heaven have nests, but you have not acquired temples lower than treasures for yourself on earth. Rejoice, for you have become like the Son of God, who had nowhere to bow your head, on earth; Rejoice, for you have now dwelt in Heaven with Him in the heavenly abodes. Rejoice, blessed Elder Matrono, wonderful wonderworker.

Kontakion 10

Wanting to save many people from the suffering of bodily and mental ailments, you spent all the night, O righteous woman of God, on your knees in prayer, asking for help and strength from our Lord Jesus Christ, who in His earthly journey knelt in prayer before the Heavenly Father, singing with the Angels to Him: Alleluia.

Ikos 10

You were a wall and a covering during your life, blessed mother, to all who came running to you in need and sorrow, but even after death you did not cease to intercede before God for the people who come to you with faith. Hear, O good mother, now us, many sinners, overcome by sorrows, illnesses and many sorrows, and strive to help us with your holy prayers, propitiating the gracious Lord for all who cry to you: Rejoice, warm prayer book for us to God; Rejoice, zealous for us sinners, intercessor to God. Rejoice, you who gratefully admonish us to endure illness and sorrow; Rejoice, you who put good thoughts in our hearts in our perplexity. Rejoice, through your prayer you help us to be saved; Rejoice, you who are far away in body from you, but who do not abandon those who earnestly call upon you from the heart. Rejoice, blessed Elder Matrono, wonderful wonderworker.

Kontakion 11

Hear the unearthly, angelic singing now, O honorable mother Matrono, who, while still living on earth, was vouchsafed, invisibly to those around her, to converse with the heavenly angels. Teach us, unworthy ones, how to glorify God, who is revered in the Trinity, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, to whom the heavenly hosts continually sing with a loud voice: Alleluia.

Ikos 11

Your life shines with a luminous light, blessed old lady Matrono, illuminating the darkness of this busy world, and attracts our souls to itself, so that they too may be illuminated by even a small ray of God’s grace, and be able to walk the sorrowful and cramped path of life in a God-pleasing manner, and reach the gates of the Kingdom of God, where You, mother, now, we believe, you have moved in. Hear the voice of those calling you: Rejoice, lamp of God, enlighten us even after death; Rejoice, honorable bead, illuminating us with the brilliance of your shrine. Rejoice, strengthening us in Orthodoxy with the light of your good deeds; Rejoice, fragrant flower, scent our souls with the Holy Spirit. Rejoice, for all your life is holy and righteous; Rejoice, for your death is honorable before God. Rejoice, blessed Elder Matrono, wonderful wonderworker.

Kontakion 12

You have received the grace of God abundantly from the shrouds, O blessed mother, and this will remain with you all your days: you healed ailments, you cast out demons, you, invisible and far away, foretell and instruct the salvation of all. We undoubtedly believe that after death this grace most of all remains with you, for this reason we pray prostrately: do not deprive us, who are still wandering on earth, of your help and intercession, asking the Lord to have mercy and save all who diligently offer up solemn singing to Him in our holy churches: Alleluia.

Ikos 12

Singing your miracles, Mother Matrono, we praise God, who has given you such grace, and with the prophet David we cry out in psalms, for praise is due to the righteous: Rejoice, for the Lord loves the righteous; Rejoice, for the Lord makes the blind wise. Rejoice, for the Lord protects all who love Him; Rejoice, for the Lord takes pleasure in His people. Rejoice, for the Lord will do the will of those who fear Him and will hear their prayer and save them; Rejoice, for the saints will be praised in glory and will rejoice on their beds. Rejoice, blessed Elder Matrono, wonderful wonderworker.

Matrona of Moscow is one of the saints beloved and revered by Orthodox believers. From birth, she possessed the divine gift of miracles and revealed herself to the world as a Christian ascetic.

Blessed Matrona is popularly called Matronushka, and they pronounce her name with great love. The Moscow saint became famous and loved by all believers during her worldly life. She was a zealous prayer worker and advocate for the word of God. Her earthly life is cited as an example of spiritual achievement. Matrona always treated every request addressed to her with care and love, trying with all her might to help.

History of the Matrona icon

When people remember the miracles that Matrona of Moscow performed, it is difficult for them to list everything that the name of this saint is associated with, since her whole life is already a divine miracle. Matronushka herself only said that all miracles happen by the will of God, and she only points to this with her actions.

The saint warned believers in every possible way, saying that any occult acts turn away from the Lord, inevitably bringing them closer to the most evil beginning. She asked not to deceive God, not to cheat and not to try to look for answers to eternal questions. Even to the question “Why do you dream about an angel? “Matrona replied that one should not trust dreams, because sometimes the devil himself sends them. And any magic or witchcraft only enhances its power.

Anyone who visited Matronushka was sure that he was communicating with a saint, with a man of exalted spirit and bright soul. The saint saw right through the person, even though she was blind. She did not fulfill godless requests, but guided sinners on the true path. Everyone who came to her with pure thoughts received what they came for. After the death of the great Matrona, sadness and sorrow lurked in the hearts of people; they lacked the holy mentor. Only the icon saved Orthodox Christians in moments of despair and approaching evil, just as the Matrona of Moscow herself had done before.

The meaning of the holy image of Matrona of Moscow

The saint herself was canonized a year after her relics were transferred to the Intercession Monastery in 1998. Only in 1999 was she given a place among the holiest of local significance. And only five years later, in 2004, Matrona of Moscow was awarded the title of pan-church saint.

Near the incorruptible remains in the Intercession Monastery there are two images, to which the flow of people does not stop. Every day the number of parishioners under these icons increases and the armfuls of flowers do not dry out.

Orthodox people claim that with prayer requests sent to Matrona, you immediately receive a silent answer, internal relief comes, as if all the problems were left behind. There are cases when the blessed one, with her negative answer, gives people time to think. In any case, the saint hears all prayers addressed to her. The main thing is that the words come from the heart and are honest.

What does Matrona of Moscow help with?

Prayers to Matrona of Moscow are perhaps one of the most powerful among all Orthodox prayers. The blessed saint will help you overcome all problems, protect you from evil, envious people, black spells, disasters, and unwanted events. It is only important that your prayers come from a pure heart and are supported by strong faith and bright motives. She will help everyone with everything she deems necessary for your happiness. Basically they appeal to the saint:

  • in moments of despair;
  • in case of damage from natural disasters;
  • to protect yourself from lies and evil;
  • to attract love and strengthen the family union;
  • for healing from various diseases;
  • to help in the lives of loved ones and children;
  • to attract wealth and prosperity.

Prayer to Saint Matrona

“Blessed Mother Matrona, hear and accept the words from sinful and unworthy servants of God. You are accustomed to listening and defending with Your intercession every lost soul turned to You with love and hope in their hearts. Give help, a speedy recovery, relief from misfortune. May the hand of the giver and Your compassion not become scarce for us, living in vain times, when there is nowhere to find mercy and consolation, except near Your face. Deliver us from weakness of spirit and devilish temptations, help us to endure all the hardships and trials of life without losing faith in the Lord. Preserve our Orthodox faith until the end of our days, may we be strengthened until our deathbed only by true faith in the Lord. Help us and all supporters of God to achieve the Kingdom of Heaven, glorifying the grace and mercy of our Father, His Son and the Holy Spirit at all times. Amen".

Remembrance Day of the Miraculous Icon

In Orthodoxy, several days a year are dedicated to the celebration of the memory of the bright name and image of Matrona. It is customary to celebrate one of them on the day of the saint’s death - May 2 (April 19, old style). The second is associated with the day of the angel Matrona and falls on November 22 (9 old style).

Where is the icon of Blessed Matrona located?

The significance of the miraculous and prayed icon for believers is very great. There is no church in Russia where Orthodox people could not pray before the icon of Matrona.

The main location of the shrine is considered to be the Intercession Monastery. The fact is that it is there that the incorrupt remains of the blessed Matrona have been preserved to this day. There is also a significant and beloved icon of the Most Pure Virgin, called “Seeking the Lost.” Of course, there are countless parishioners who want to visit the temple. The queues for the revered icons never end.

It is worth noting an important place that relates to Saint Matrona - this is the Danilovskoye cemetery. Previously, this is where the saint was buried. Now at her grave there is a container with sand, which has miraculous powers.

Matrona of Moscow- Orthodox saint who had the gift of miracles from birth.
Her whole life became an example of the great spiritual feat of love, patience, self-denial and compassion.
People came to mother for help from tens of kilometers away with their illnesses, anxieties, and sorrows.
The flow of pilgrims to venerate her holy relics continues today.

Matrena Dimitrievna Nikonova was born on November 10 (22), 1881. in the village of Sebino, Epifansky district, Tula province, in a poor peasant family. At baptism she was named in honor of the Venerable Matrona of Constantinople. Her parents, Dimitri and Natalia, already had two sons and a daughter. Because of Poverty, the mother decided to send her fourth child to an orphanage, but had a dream. Her unborn daughter appeared to her in the form of a bird of heaven with a human face and closed eyes. Taking the prophetic dream as a sign, the God-fearing woman gave up the idea of sending the child to an orphanage.

The daughter was born blind, but the mother pitied and loved her “unfortunate child.” To her parents' surprise, she was born with a cross-shaped mark on her chest. And at baptism, when the priest lowered the child into the font, those present saw a column of steam or fragrant light smoke. The priest, Father Vasily, whom the parishioners revered as a righteous man, was incredibly surprised: “I have baptized babies a lot, but this is the first time I’ve seen this, and this baby will be holy.”

Matrona was not just blind, she had no eyes at all. But the Lord gave her spiritual sight. It’s amazing that Matrona had the usual, like sighted people, idea of the world around her: “God once opened my eyes and showed me the world and His creation. And I saw the sun, and the stars in the sky, and everything that is on earth, the beauty of the earth: mountains, rivers, green grass, flowers, birds..."

At the age of seventeen, Matrona suddenly lost her legs. Until the end of her days she was “sedentary”. And her sitting continued for another fifty years. Mother herself never grumbled, but humbly carried the cross given to her by God.
Mother did not preach, did not teach. She gave advice, prayed and blessed. She was taciturn; some of her general instructions remained, for example: “Why judge others? Each sheep will be hung by its own tail. What do you care about other tails?”

How do people close to you remember Matrona? With miniature, child-like, short arms and legs. Sitting cross-legged on a bed or chest. Fluffy hair parted in the middle. Eyelids tightly closed. Kind bright face. Affectionate voice. She consoled, calmed the sick, stroked their heads, made the sign of the cross, sometimes joked, sometimes sternly rebuked and instructed.

Before her death, Matronushka said: “Everyone, everyone, come to me and tell me, as if alive, about your sorrows, I will see you, and hear you, and help you.”
And mother also said: “I will meet everyone who turns to me for help at their death, everyone.”

She also instructed: “I will die, put candles on the canon for me, the cheapest ones, go to my grave, I will always be there, don’t look for anyone else. Trust me, everyone, and I will give you thoughts on what to do and how to act.” "The time of delusion is coming, do not look for anyone, otherwise you will be deceived."

How can one not remember the words of Mother Matrona, perhaps said about our days: “If a people loses faith in God, then disasters befall them, and if they do not repent, then they perish and disappear from the face of the earth. How many peoples have disappeared, but Russia existed, and will exist. Pray, ask, repent! The Lord will not leave you and will save our land!"

Matronushka found her last earthly refuge at the Skhodnya station near Moscow, where she settled with a distant relative. They say that she foresaw the day of her death and made all the necessary arrangements. On May 2, 1952, she died and, at her request, she was buried in the Danilovsky cemetery in order to “hear the service” (one of the few functioning Moscow churches was located there).

More than thirty years after the death of my mother, her grave became one of the holy places of Orthodox Moscow - a place of unofficial pilgrimage, where people come from all over Russia and from abroad.

In 1999, Matrona of Moscow was canonized as a locally revered Moscow saint; church-wide canonization took place in October 2004

Currently, the relics of the blessed one rest in the Moscow Intercession Convent, where they were transferred with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II in May 1998. In addition, every year a reliquary containing parts of the relics of the Matrona of Moscow is transported to Russian cities for veneration.

She is worshiped as “Grandmother of the Russian Land”

Blessed Elder Matrona of Moscow, as the Grandmother of the Russian land, currently occupies an honorable place in the Higher Worlds in the Supreme Trustee Council of human existence, where she oversees the sphere of people’s lives, interceding for them before God in the palaces of the Heavenly Kremlin.

She has been given broad powers in helping people with their daily worries and needs. She especially loves to help in raising children. All orphanages and kindergartens are under her care.

Blessed Matrona pays special attention to the homeless and orphans, as well as the unemployed and those left homeless as a result of an accident.

Before turning to Matrona for help, it is advisable to bring a donation to God to the temple in the form of any of the following products: black bread, sugar, tea, milk, crackers and cookies, raisins, walnuts, vegetable oil, flour, honey, caramel candies. Or you can give them as alms to a beggar in the name of God on the street. You can feed a stray dog or birds - pigeons and sparrows.

There is a custom of bringing fresh flowers to the blessed Matrona. The chapel, where there is a shrine with the relics of the saint, is always buried in luxurious bouquets. The offering of some becomes a gift for others - to everyone who comes to Matronushka, local attendants give one or more flowers as a farewell, depending on their luck. Flowers that were blessed on the relics before distribution are usually dried and stored at home in the red corner near the icons.
For flowers, you can bring her white chrysanthemums, white lilacs, red tulips, carnations and roses of any color.

. Matrona of Moscowhelps in the spiritual growth of a person as a heavenly guardian of his spiritual development. It helps to open spiritual vision, which helps a person to understand his life tasks, helps him solve issues in accordance with the Divine will. Matrona helps the Guardian Angel and Heavenly Teachers guide a person through life in accordance with God’s plan for him.

Elder Matrona especially patronizes representatives of the following professions: teachers of preschool institutions and orphanages, teachers, nannies, nurses, housekeepers, ophthalmologists, pediatricians, orthopedists, neurologists, watchmen and watchmen, trustees in parochial schools.

How can you gain favor with yourself?
Blessed Matrona

Her favorite month of the year is May. Therefore, everyone born in May can count on her special intercession for them before the Higher Powers.

It is very good to pray to Matrona after a Russian bath, wearing a clean, preferably white, shirt or, for women, a dress and a white cotton scarf.

But at any other time, with a sincerely open heart, a prayer to the blessed Matrona can also be heard if she is addressed with love and faith, humility and reverence.

If you want to earn the attention of the Blessed Matrona, feed a poor person at least once a week for a month in the name of God and out of respect for the Matrona. Preferably from your own hands or at least stand nearby. And then you can express your requests to Blessed Matrona.

. If this turns out to be difficult, prepare semolina porridge without sugar, but sweet (for example, with honey) and feed the pigeons once a day for a week, thanking the God-sent food and having mercy on the flying birds.

. To earn her favor, feed at least two stray dogs. Let’s say three times: in the name of God and as a sign of veneration for Matrona. Some people treated Matrona like a mongrel dog, therefore, by showing mercy to mongrels in the name of God and honoring Matrona, you can earn her quick attention.

Plant a rowan tree in your garden, maybe chokeberry, in the name of God, for the good of nature in honor of Matrona. And this can also attract her mercy to your household and your family. She really loved rowan berries from the frost. Feeling through them the bitterness of human troubles and the sweetness of the Divine World at the same time.

Prayers to the blessed old lady Matrona

“Pre-chosen from the womb of the mother, the righteous Matrono, to the service of Christ, walking the path of sorrows and sorrows, having demonstrated firm faith and piety, you pleased God. Moreover, honoring your memory, we pray to you: help us too to abide in God’s love, blessed old lady.”

1. “O blessed mother Matrono, hear and accept us now, sinners, praying to you, who has learned throughout your life to receive and listen to all those who suffer and mourn,
with faith and hope for your intercession and help of those who come running, quick help and miraculous healing are given to everyone;
May your mercy not fail now for us, unworthy, restless in this busy world
and nowhere finding consolation and compassion in spiritual sorrows and help in physical illnesses:
heal our illnesses, deliver us from the temptations and torment of the devil, who passionately fights,
help me to carry my everyday Cross, to bear all the hardships of life and not to lose the image of God in it,
preserve the Orthodox faith until the end of our days, have strong trust and hope in God and unfeigned love for our neighbors;
help us, after leaving this life, to achieve the Kingdom of Heaven with all those who please God,
glorifying the mercy and goodness of the Heavenly Father, glorified in the Trinity, Father and Son and Holy Spirit, forever and ever. Amen."

2. “O blessed mother Matrono, standing in heaven before the Throne of God with your soul, resting with your body on earth, and exuding various miracles by the grace given to you from above.
Look now with your merciful eye on us, sinners, in sorrow, illness and sinful temptations, waiting for our days,
comfort us, desperate ones, heal our fierce ailments, from God to us due to our sins,
deliver us from many troubles and circumstances,
beg our Lord Jesus Christ to forgive us all our sins, iniquities and falls,
in which we have sinned from our youth even to this day and hour,
that through your prayers we have received grace and great mercy, let us glorify the One God in the Trinity, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages.”

Prayer for conceiving a child

“Oh, blessed mother Matrona, we resort to your intercession and tearfully pray to you.
For you who have great boldness in the Lord, pour out a warm prayer for your servants in your spiritual sorrow
staying and asking for help from you.
Truly is the word of the Lord: ask and it will be given to you, and again:
For if two of you give counsel to the earth about every thing that anyone asks, it will be given to him by My Father who is in Heaven.
Hear our groanings and convey them to the throne of the Master, and where you stand before God, the prayer of a righteous man can do much before God.
May the Lord not completely forget us, but look down from the heights of heaven on the sorrow of His servants and bestow the fruit of the womb for something useful.
Truly, God wants, so do the Lord to Abraham and Sarah, Zechariah and Elizabeth, Joachim and Anna, pray with him.
May the Lord God do this to us, out of His mercy and ineffable love for mankind.
Blessed be the name of the Lord from now on and forever. Amen."

Prayer for Marriage

The prayer itself for marriage to the Lord:
« Oh, All-Good Lord, I know that my great happiness depends on the fact that I love You with all my soul and with all my heart, and that I fulfill Your holy will in everything.
Rule Yourself, O my God, over my soul and fill my heart: I want to please You Alone, for You are the Creator and my God.
Save me from pride and self-love: let reason, modesty and chastity adorn me.
Idleness is disgusting to You and gives rise to vices, give me the desire to work hard and bless my labors.
Since Your Law commands people to live in honest marriage, then lead me, Holy Father, to this title, sanctified by You, not to please my lust, but to fulfill Your destiny,
for You Yourself said: it is not good for man to be alone, and having created a wife for him as a helper, You blessed them to grow, multiply and populate the earth.

Hear my humble prayer, sent to You from the depths of a girl’s heart;
give me an honest and pious spouse, so that in love with him and in harmony we glorify You, the merciful God: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen".

You, blessed mother, accept this from our grateful hearts,
and as having boldness before the Lord, deliver us from all troubles, sorrows, illnesses and snares of the enemy,
